| Brief History of International Mapping |
| President Scott Edmonds, formerly Director of Cartographic Operations for MapQuest.com, incorporated International Mapping in the autumn of 2000. He began International Mapping with a core group of highly experienced cartographers, many of whom gained their cartographic experience with Scott at Maryland Cartographics, which he ran for nine years prior to its acquisition by MapQuest.com in 1994. |
| In the fall of 2002, International Mapping acquired Equator Graphics, Inc. with Alex Tait as its principal, expanding our staff of cartographers to ten and extending our mapping expertise into digital terrain modeling, animation and interactive maps. |
| While only five years old as a business entity, International Mapping combines the collective experience of Scott Edmonds’ twenty-five years (including nine as President of Maryland Cartographics), and Alex Tait’s fifteen years (including ten years as President of Equator Graphics, Inc). |
